The BRDGES Concept

Learning has never been so easy and convenient! Our Courses and Certificate Programs are online and offered in real time through the use of virtual classrooms, giving you the liberty to choose whether to take the courses in the comfort of your home or at your office. BRDGES’ focus lies on intercultural and cross-cultural training for mediators, practitioners of conflict and dispute resolution as well as peace process advocates. This type of education enables you to better relate to and effectively work in diverse and multi-cultural settings. At the same time, it will give you the opportunity to extent your professional network by establishing connections with your global classmates.

For non-live/ recorded sessions, you will be sent a link and password, giving you access to the video for the duration of 2 weeks. Once you have watched the recorded session, you only have to send us a confirmation email and we will provide you with a certificate.

Technical Prerequisites

Connecting to the virtual classroom is easy!  If you are connecting using a laptop or computer, you only need to make sure you have Adobe Flash. To check if you already have Adobe Flash, click here. On top of that, all that is needed is the classroom link, which BRDGES will send to you via email before the class.

If you are using a mobile device like an iPad, you only need to download the app from iTunes App Store, the Google Play Store, or the BlackBerry App World.

A minimum of 2mbps download speed is required but we recommend that your Internet has a download speed of at least 4mbps as well as upload speed of 512kbps. For those of you who have technological questions, we provide 30 minutes of free time for a Q&A with one of our trusted Tech Team members. Simply set up an appointment through the contact form, or ask your question directly on the form for a quicker response.

Please make sure you have a working headset and web camera for our live classes, as participation is required.

PAYMENTS

After you have successfully registered for a Course or Certificate Program, payment is made through the BRDGES website.  After completing the payment process, you will receive an email with the link and password necessary to access the virtual classroom. Payments are made on our website through the use of PayPal, which accepts international payments through the use of all major credit cards.

Our classes are live but some portions of a course may be recorded or require study and class assignments independent of the instructor.  For live sessions, you will be expected to attend and participate. A calendar for the live presentations is posted and updated on our website regularly.
